It really depends on your country. If you are somewhere like Afrika I would imagine that you don't have access to what most of us in the rest of the world are using. You may just have to see what you can get locally and figure it out from trial and error. You can, however, learn about what doesn't work so you can avoid those, ie vanilla visa's typically don't work so you can probably rule those out.
