Valutating wining ideas

I’ve been tinkering on a side project—a bot that can automatically generate translated subtitles from any source language into any target language, in real time. It’s fully functional, but not for sale (and I don’t plan to sell it). Instead, I’m here to pick your brains:

• What clever monetization strategies would you use if you had this tool in your hands?
• Would you package it as a subscription-based SaaS, sell API access, or build a niche agency around it?
• Could it work as a freemium model, with basic auto-subs for free and advanced features (timing tweaks, customization, bulk processing) unlocked behind a paywall?
• What about embedding it in a Chrome extension or desktop app and charging a one-time fee?
• Could you leverage affiliate or partner deals with e-learning platforms, video creators, or localization agencies?
• Any ideas for ad-supported deployments (e.g. free tier that displays sponsor messages before subtitles load)?

I’m not looking to sell the bot itself—rather, I want to learn about viable business models and gather creative input. Once I’ve tried out the suggestions that make sense, I’ll share a “journey post” detailing what worked, what flopped, and key lessons learned.

That’s a dope tool, alesiox94! I’d go SaaS with a freemium model—basic subs free, charge for premium features like bulk processing. API access for e-learning platforms could kill it too! Thoughts on targeting YouTubers?

Yes giod idea , i may build a website , but i think if i coould monetize asap, i was thinking about dailymotion

Do you think i should translate any show in particolar ?

Freemium with a strong paid upgrade for advanced features (custom styles, no branding, higher accuracy) works well for getting users in. Ad-supported free tier is also an option, but could annoy users and limit conversions.
