do you think this site is accurate? i often use it to check out other people's sites, but i don't know... i would like it if people could try their websites on it and tell me if it's accurate, or completely off base.

thanks :)

It's not as far off as estibot and it's fairly accurate on traffic and age, but you can't use it to evaluate a business as it's impossible to know the profit without some sort of financial statements. Good starting point, though...

No auto appraisal site is accurate in my honest opinion. There are guides out there but I think I remember hearing your site is worth on average and depending on age- 2-3 months revenue.

thanks for the replies...

i wasn't too sure if it was correct or not, but mostly i look at the revenue the site says some websites make... however i don't know how it could take into account CPA stuff.

It can't, and Alexa numbers are not very accurate - less and less people use Alexa toolbar. Use it as a rough guide for age, name and traffic, get some proof for revenue.

It gave my 12 yo website a value of $11k based on age, name and traffic, even although it's been making $80k-$100k per year - only the business operator has access to the financial statements.

You may also have e-mail lists, scripts, custom design, etc. that will add to the value.
