It depends a lot in your reputation. If your site has a very big reputation, you may be harming the site, but as Positive has suggested, you may (or not) receive a DCMA at some point of the original authors identify this threat.
If your reputation is below the site you are copying, it will be plain useless.

Yes. having plagirised content can lead to penalties from google and may be even a blacklist.

It's a bad idea to use copied content unless you're aiming for churn & burn kind of site build-up. Expired content is something different and may/may not be plagiarized depending on if it's already used.

Don't do that; it's not going to hurt your ranking instantly, but you are going to lots of issues in long run.

Use 2-3 sources to get the content from otherwise the resulting article will be quite similar to the original one.
If everything on it is original and yours except the layout and stuff then it won't matter.

I am not sure I entirely agree with google penalties in all cases of dupe content. One of my competitors with a relatively new domain is literally using the exact verbiage for several products from the affiliate site and is outranking me with all my unique content and .edu + .gov backlinks. Proof that you can outrank with scraped content. I swear, google is 'broken'.

As many people above already said, it's a very bad idea. Be original and make your own site, don't "copy - paste" the site of someone who really put their effort into it.

It depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you are trying to copy someone else's content, and publishing them as your own, and if your site has very high domain authority, then your content will rank better than the original site - then harm done to the other site, and you have stolen their content and getting ranked in the process.. lol. If you copy your own site content, and then replicate them on multiple sites, this literally does nothing in the process, and has no value other than wasting time.

Frankly speaking is depend? I does copy the same content from an establish site.
They does inform me take down the content. They actually Don't mind I share , the problem is their content is outsource to a 3rd party company who provide them the contents thus is not their decision despite they don't mind others share their content.
Because the 3rd party company they get , the contents are been protect means only they can use it.
Some site owners don't mind you share as long you put credit , source next they more happy their affliate link been share too.
I guess many big site owners does know people copy , share their content on their own site but as long stated where the source from ,
and their affliate link un change why would they ask u take down. They are actually more happy as more people know their site , even might get more sales.
I always take an example of a News site like CNN, BBC , you see they all report the Same news if anything big happen, the core of the news is the same but some of
them just rewrite it , some just quote from stated source from .
