    Hi everyone,

I am planning to start a new website and was looking for .com domain name for that. But, as we all know either it is taken or has been set as a overpriced premium domain name. So, I was thinking of going with .co for this name. Can anyone suggest is it worth going for .co ?? My target market is Global.

    Thanks,
    KN

I wouldn't go for anything other than a .com for a money site

.co also good no doubt about .co but .com is professionally known domain so it is better to go with .com

.co looks fine as .com/.net are starting to be crowded. Not sure on the rankings aspect but I do see quite a few .co's ranking on the top. It all depends on your efforts and branding. With new domain extensions coming out every other month, I think its only a matter of time before we kind of get out of the .com/.net being premium mindset. If you have a good website/idea, it doesn't matter whether you are using .co or .xyz. Maybe in two years time we'll kind of get used to the idea of other domain extensions than just .com or .net.

If the price difference for .co and .com is less please go ahead with .com site. That would be best.
    Best Regards!

Most of you are suggesting .com but trust me, if I had that budget to invest $5000-6000 on a fresh domain name then I would have been a big Boss myself. I know .com is best but I can not afford it so shall I go with .co ??
