Vagex + VPS?

I know, this question has been asked a 100 times and maybe even more, but all threads end without any solution.
I'm planning to buy a VPS to let Vagex and some other view exchange networks (u2bviews, enhanceviews) run 24/7 and then spend it on my videos to give them a boost.
So my question is: how many RAM do I need for this purpose? You think 256MB are enough?
And can you suggest a cheap provider to me? I probably need a Windows VPS for running the vagex tool.
I tried host1free.com, but still no answer on my application yet.
Maybe some good hoster with a trial feature (with internet connection, of course).

I think you should get 1GB minimum. Don't know about others but I ran Vagex + U2BViews on a 512 RAM VPS once and I it kept freezing every 8-9 hours.

You could check Burstnet for cheap windows VPS. 13 bucks a month. If you can spend a bit more money, go for Hostamus. They have a very good service.

to any future people:

i don't really deal in this stuff any more but the basic guidelines for getting maximum efficiency from low budget VPSes is simple:

eliminate as much disk IO as you possibly can.

it's usually the biggest slow down in terms of earning because the programs spend time waiting for disk access

this includes stuff like:
for xen bases VPSes - install the gplpv windows drivers
disable disk caching in firefox
move IE cache to ramdisk , and limit it/regularly empty it (been a while so forgotten the exact steps to achieve this, remember IE being a right pain in the arse to deal with lol) (this is made redundant by the option below)
install and configure fbwf <this one is win


plus all those types of things .. heaps more that ive forgotten .. been so long :/
