Vagex problem?

I recently subscribed to Vagex Pro (cheapest sub) to test it out and while a little slow, it seemed to be doing ok. Their ratio was better than expected so far 2:1 (instead of their advertised 4:1), but after two days, the views just stopped coming.

A look at my "views received" for the first few days and it looks terrible...

For about 10 videos I posted, it breaks down like this:

6/14 - 1620 views (for half a day - started in evening)
6/15 - 2172 views
6/16 - 404 views
6/17 - 9 views
6/18 - 13 views (as of 11:20am PST)

All the videos still have credits and are enabled. I have it set for views only (no comments, likes, etc.).

Does anyone have any idea what happened? Is this normal or did I do something wrong perhaps? Do any other Vagex users have the same problem?

Thanks for any info! :)

If you have under 100 credits allocated on the video, you hardly wont be getting any views.

Isn't 100 credits just 25 views? KD3000 how many credits are you dumping per video?

I started with a few hundred per video. I'm trying out the service and wanted to see how fast/effective Vagex is.

I didn't know that if the credits allocated fall below 100, views basically stop coming. That doesn't seem very good at all. You would think they would just keep going until they ran out, but is that not the case? So if you have a bunch of videos and they're all at under 100 credits, those credits are basically worthless until you refill?

If that is the case, I might as well cancel, as I probably have 1,200 credits (only 300-600 views, but still) just sitting there getting no views and being worthless. Does anyone know why this is? Do all YT services work this way?

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. I see you can delete videos and get the credits back. Thanks for the info vincenth and skittles. :p

I'm also testing both ViewTornado and YTNuke and will hopefully find one that doesn't stall out like Vagex.

Vagex is a HORRIBLE exchange site to be honest, buy views from some sellers. Much more cheaper and effective.

I am trying ViewTornado (I know SPK is a BHW member) and YTNuke (don't know if they're on BHW). SPK has been very cool so far and offered me 25 credits to try their service, so we shall see. I've read great things, so hopefully VT lives up to the hype. Do you know any other really good YT sellers? I can't send PM's, but am not sure if I can receive them, but if you had any suggestions, that would be helpful. Thanks!

The reason for less views can either be:

Your video is bellow 100 credits
Or: Server Maintenance meaning people can not view.

However this should not affect the credits spent on your videos so this is unusual indeed. Did you go and see if any of your videos credits are in the red? If so its definitely worth while topping them up anyway, use up all of your remaining credits. Even if you never log back in you can at least gain some more views till they run out!

Also another very important question:

How long is your video? It is recommended that you set the view timer to watch at least half of your videos time length. This is because Youtubes algorithm has changed. Now in order for a view to be achieved, not only do you need a unique IP, but you also need to have the majority of your video watched. ( usually over 50% )

I had set my 2 minute long videos to 30 seconds. Received about 50 views from 1000 credits. Then changed the time to 60 seconds and now get around 400 views to 1000 credits.

I didn't know that if credits fell below 100 on a video, it basically stops, which is a little odd, but good to know since they don't seem to tell you this.

And yes, all of the videos went into the red as I just dumped a few hundred on each to test it and left it and I guess when they went under 100 credits, they all just stalled out.

As far as the length, all of these videos were under 300 views, so I left them at 30 seconds because I thought that until you reach the 301 limit, nearly any hit of any length would trigger a counted view. Now that I know the YT algorithm requires more view time (50% ish), I will alter my view lengths to better insure legit views.

I thought a service like Vagex was cheaper, but if you end up getting so few views per credit, maybe ViewTornado or YTNuke is a better option.

Thanks for this valuable info! I appreciate it. :)

No problem! :-)

The reason Vagex slow down your credits so dramatically is to allow the user to realise he/she is running low on credits and give them time to top up. Many Youtubers like to keep their analytics as steady and natural looking as possible. So if you have no natural views, if your Vagex credits were to completely stop and you have nothing for a week...well...it looks a bit iffy! ^^

I know I may be biased but I think the price is ok for the amount of credits you get per upgrade. But I am the first to admit the ratio is terrible these days. But I know the programmers over there are trying their best to overcome this time. I am sure all view enhancers go through their tough times. It seems Vagex hit their tough time when Youtube had its major overhaul at the end of winter.

Do you have any other questions about Vagex at all? I'm a novice, written a few FAQ's over there.

I actually do have a Vagex question... how do you register for the forum over there? I can't see where to actually register a new forum profile and my Vagex profile doesn't work for the forums. Any suggestions? Thanks again!

Should be working with the same username and password you login to Vagex with. Wierd.

Nope, you sign up seperately I'm afraid. :/ Dont know why but it is what it is!

Thanks for the link, but I can't seem to sign up apparently. It says:

Please, correct the following:
The e-mail address is already registered
This IP has already been used

Even if I use a different email address it still gives me the IP warning. Am I really supposed to use a proxy so I can register for their service AND their forums separately? This seems odd to me. Any help would be welcome. Thanks!
