So I bought a vps at Bermanhosting so I can run the Vagex viewer all day, but I always get the "this machine adress is already registered to another user" or "This machine was recently viewing with another ip" message. Is it possible that the viewer detects every vps on one server as one machine and someone else is already running the viewer? And if it's like this, is there any way that I could solve this problem?

I think that must be the case. I was wanting to run scrapebox on my berman vps and transfer my license from my home PC. I installed scrapebox and it registered under another persons name immediately.

I'm not sure how vagex works, but I think the only way around it would be to contact support. They seem quite friendly to be fair.

I have been with Berman for about a year now, the support is great and the VPS are excellent. Any problems I have had I have contacted them and they have resolved within 24 hours. Just go to support they will help you bro

Viewer checks mac address, your VPS is using the hardware address of the host machine and multiple VPS instances are running on the same machine. There are ways to fake mac address, there are also ways to assign a dedicated hardware address to a vps, not sure if they provide this service, ask them.

no no no, it goes off the SID of the account, find and download 'newsid' on to the VPS and run it to change the SID

Thanks, it was the same with my two vps at Berman.(altough NewSID is a big no for windows server 2008, it screws up the whole system...) I changed it with sysprep and now the viewer works wihout any problem.

I have got the same problem on Berman. I have never used sysprep before. Is there anything special you need to do when you run the program? Or do you just start it up and make sure the generalize box is checked?

i also have the same problem and i would like to know more details about sysorep. how will this help us change our machine id?
