It all depends on the quality of the video content. Assuming that the video content is appealing AND the Google Ads (YouTube) video campaign is properly set up, then yes, it can boost a video by resulting in subscribers, likes, comments, shares.
Views from Google Ads (YouTube) video campaign will not count towards watch time.
Resultant effects of the engagements will have good benefits. Subscribers would watch past, future videos and all that would count towards watch time
Once again good results from Google Ads (YouTube) video campaign depends on on how appealing the video content is AND proper set up of the Google Ads (YouTube) video campaign.

yes you can.... it will kill your organic views on that video so upload your best video but edit it to make it different enough so that YT doesn't think its the same content and run an unlisted video in a discovery ad... if its a new channel just run a discovery ad...

its more for getting subs than views though..... I don't do it for views I do it for subs...

My experience with Google Ads has been pretty good. If you want real organic views you can also try Facebook ads.

Maybe by using other platforms paid ads better than use YouTube Ads directly as the others say.

Don't waste your money on Ads. You won't hit the algorithm using Ads.
Hitting the algorithm is purely based on if people click and watch your video when its shown to them.

Well I guess its not just about getting views. If you think of long run, if you run YT ads on a quality video, then you can get views from paid ads and also subscribers which is valuable. Subs are important because when you post a new video, YT will notify your subscribers first. Then depending on response from your subscribers on that video, YT will decide whether to push further or dump the video. I think subs are equally important to get initial boost to a newly published video. That's my view on running ads. Whats' ur opinion guys??

Running Ads to boost your videos can be good or bad for your video and channel depending on the watchtime and retention level on the video.
