Using woocommerce to sell services?

Anyone here using woocommerce for a service-based business? I'm setting up a new site and wondering if there is any advantage (no shipping or tax to calculate in my home country, so I don't need it for that). I'm just wondering about woocommerce because let's say I have 5-7 services: home cleaning / window washing / pressure washing / landscaping / painting...I might want to scale the cost based on things like size of home, number of windows, etc. Plus, because some clients might want to use several services at once, or have the ability to purchase all services for a discount, I thought woocommerce might better be able to handle that than another platform. I'm open to suggestions and other platforms...wanted to ask here before I get too far into building the site.

Its better you customize the pages yourself. Using woocomerce for this purpose don't seem cool.

I use Woocommerce for a digital service website and I'd say it will be great for your site

A lot of plugins to add multiple variables to products are working good but its a good idea to scale it in the future and hire web dev.

What is you level of knowledge? Because this might have an effect on your decision... Will you do all the work yourself or outsource some?

Sounds to me like you are going to have a limited set of services, most of the ecommerce platforms should handle your requirements...
In your situation I would look at the performance (website loading speed) or the platform/plugin (but then I have been running webshops for quite some time)

What platforms have you considered?
Or do you definitely want to use a Wordpress Plugin?
Woocommerce will certainly be able to handle this but so will most of the other shopping cart plugins for Wordpress.

I see very different replies here and I personally agree with @Insurena that Woocommerce might be overkill and looks complex to a newbie due to all its capabilities (which you do not seem to need). If you go for Wordpress a simple shipping cart plugin would be fine too...
Then again woocommerce is a commonly used platform, support form the community will be more accesible...

Do not overthink, choose and start working on your shop...

My mistake, I should have clarified a bit. I can do just about anything with a website...years of experience (do you see my BHW 'joined' date? lol).

Anyway, woocommerce isn't complex..I know it very well and have used it for physical products for several years. I use WP for about 90% of my sites because there's no compelling reason to use another platform.

I'm not asking for help or in need of a dev, I just wanted to hear from people here who have used WC for services and learn about their experience with it in terms of the pros/cons.
