Hi all,

Anyone here use a short video for seo purposes? Such as submitting to youtube and all the other sites out there?

Anyone have feedback for someone new to video "SEO"

Thanks,

SC

You want to follow many of the steps that you would use for an article or other text

1) Choose a keyword that would be considered low hanging fruit - at least 1000 searches per month, no more than 30,000 in competition (use exact match on the keyword

2) Use this keyword in the title of the video, preferably the first word(s)

3) Write a description (about 250 words) using the keyword and other synonyms to give your visitors enticing content.

4) After uploading the video, use the video url and submit to RSS feeds

5) After one week , bookmark the URL - don't forget to camouflage your link by including at least 2 other sites that focus on other niches or topics

6) Additional things that you can do for SEO purposes is to write articles and place a link to the video in your resource box,

7) Join free traffic system(dot) com and submit articles and using anchor text build backlinks to the video.

8) This tip is more of a traffic tip but so great I wanted to share it with you -- there is a free tool at linkedtube(dot) com that you can use to place a clickable link on the face of the video. Here is the video with more details hxxp://xxx.facebook.com/search/?q=productivity&init=quick#!/video/video.php?v=274267873812&ref=mf

DON'T FORGET TO REPLACE THE xxx's or the link won't work

This should get you started :)

I had the clickable link stuff downloaded in a video....somewhere. I really need to organise my downloads better *sigh*

Thanks bizwoman, you just saved me hours.

You can also add a backlink in the description of the video.

whenever you add to yt, make sure you put the link first and then a description loaded with keywords. so if your site is ttt.com you would put in the description "ttt.com insert keyword loaded description here".

If you have good videos and you submit it in a high traffic video sites, just go ahead. You can also use videos in sales page. I read that some visitors like a video and it converts better
