Using Video Annotations To Your Advantage

Hey everyone.

Recently I've been experimenting with annotations to try and convert the traffic I'm getting out of videos that have been copyright claimed to ones where I can monetize them. I came across a video the other day that had 4 annotations covering the screen with each annotation linking to another video.

I decided to give it a try with a few of my videos. This is how it looks like:


I used VidIQ to copy this set up to a few more of my videos and after the first day this was my result:



As you can see the clicks shot up and I gained nearly 700 extra video views in a day. If I'm able to get 1000 views per day I'll be earning an extra $30+ a month (but this highly depends on if they view an advert before clicking off the tab etc).

I realise this may have been posted already as it's quite an old method but I thought I'd share anyway!

People rarely click links or annotations they also have to be watching from a computer to see a layover annotation you got extremely lucky.

Cards usually work better.

Also if the video is monetized by someone else, their annotations can be shown and not yours.

I wouldnt do it you can get your video flagged because if that.
