Using URL Shortners For Group Posting To Avoid Getting Banned?

If you spam your url in groups then its likely the admin will/block report you. More so if your using a url shortener i would imagine. If your page is relevent to the group then don't use a url shortener, just post the naked url. Im no facebook pro but im sure more people would click the naked link than the shortened link. simply because alot of people wouldn't trust the shortened link.

If you want to post a link to many FB groups, it's better for you to do it using a shortener, for 2 reasons:
1. once a number of people report your link, FB will ban the link, and you won't be able to use it again on FB groups. So if it's a link to your website or some site you need to post a lot, that would be bad...
2. If you use a shortener, you can make 2 (or 3, or 100...) different links to the same site, so even if people report 1 of them, the others are still ok.

Thanks for the response but I forgot to mention that I'd like to advertise the Facebook page not a website. So does URL shortening help with the Facebook page not getting banned?

You want to mass post (spam) to many groups, with a link to your FB page?
I wouldn't do it if:
1. You plan to do it on a large scale (hundreds of posts per day, daily...)
OR
2. The posts are spammy and there's a change that group members will flag them as spam.
I don't think a shortener would help in these cases. FB is very strict regarding FB pages (they can shut them down easily), so it's not the same as posting affiliate links etc., where FB can't shut down the affiliate's site but can only ban the site on FB.

Are you sure it's better to link shortened urls rather than the naked link? Wouldn't the url it links to be banned instead of the shortened url?
