Using Tumblr for backlinks through the like button?

I've been finding Tumblr posts that are high PR. I know that links in the actual comments are nofollow. However, if you press "like" while logged in, it seems to be a follow link to your profile.

Now, in your dashboard if you put a custom URL it then makes that "like" a link to the url you directed it to.

Anybody else try this?

hmmm... guess everybody already knows about that. The only thing I could find on the forum about Tumblr was how to get followers. I was just suprised that PR6 ******** links were so easy to get but nothing came up on the search about it.

Those links from Tumblr are allmost useless..
I got like 200 all pr3+ and no major changes..

Yes, because it couldn't possibly have anything with your niche/keywords and the level of competition.

I made a tumblr blog with my main keyword in the url, added my main website as redirection link and re-blogged a few high pr posts. When you re-blog, you get a do-follow link. My question is: are these links effective and will they improve my main website's ranking in any way?
