    Quick question.

Does using the word "free" in my domain name count against me at all in regards to SEO purposes?

I didn't think it did at all, but I remember reading some garbage about it can count against you or whatever. I read it right around the time all those email/zip cpa's started gaining popularity: "freexbox360now.com", etc.....

However, I would that they would penalize those sites anyways regardless of domain name.

No, I don't they'll hurt you for having free in the domain. Or else sites like **************** wouldn't be ranking well....and they do rank very well.
