Just want to ask the Adwords veterans if the use of sub-domains negatively affects quality score.

It does not affect the quality score at all unless it's something like dont-click-here.example.com ...

Agreed. As long as the URL fits Google's guidelines, its more about the content of the page and how that relates to your ads and keywords.

Doesn't affect Quality score, but could improve it if the keywords are highlight in the URL. won't hurt to try
