Yeah. I have to agree that using others content then spinning it isn’t really the best idea for a money site. Even if you are just trying to short cut and see what sticks.
You can always get ideas from your competitors anyway and just write a better more informative article or two. That’s what I do.
That said I have used spinners to rewrite my content and it’s totally readable. But it takes me hours of time to do this properly. You will need to go word by word to make sure the spin will work. It’s hard...at least for me.
But I’ve found that just taking the time to write good unique articles gives me a better chance of seeing what will rank.
If I need to run my own SEO campaigns I do take time to build a usable article. It doesn’t have to be perfect for that scenario but it’s Time well spent if it’s close. Even then my tier 1 is hand written.
Still - it’s never as good as putting pen to paper. Way better use of time.
Tried this around 2015 and it was a wasted time, effort and money on seo. Don't do it.
Personally, i don't use spin content on my tier 1s (If I can help it.)
I agree with everybody here in the thread. It's not a good idea to use spun content on your money site, you'll end up wasting your time. Just write original content. Find some inspiration from multiple articles and try to make one solid content from them.
It's not a bad idea, to be honest. I've seen worse stuff ranking. It's not a good strategy for the long-term, though. Depends how much time/money you are willing to put into an experiment.
It’s better to have less content but quality than a lot of spun content. You’d only set yourself up for more headaches than it’s worth both in the medium and long term.
One of my competitors used poorly spun content as their T1. The article on the money site was near enough identical to that on the T1 pages. The last time I checked the money site pages that they were targeting where sitting between pages 12 and 16. Take your time and use high quality content.
Not a good idea at all. Write unique content from the start and take it from there. You don't need useless volume, what you need is quality, rankable and shareable content.
