using SB at coffee shop

Hi
If I use Scrapebox at a public place, like a Mcdonalds or a coffee shop, can the owners of the network (Mcdonalds employees, coffeeshop employees, etc.) see that something weird is going on? If I and several other people at the shop have laptops, can they tell who is the culprit? I would imagine they could, based on MAC address, no?

Yes they can but secondly, why do it over wifi? It's slow as balls.

Your local employee at McDonalds or a coffee shop isn't going to have a clue what a MAC address is. :rolleyes:

If you use SB excessively ( a lot of connections ), it's not a good idea because you're going to slow the connection for everyone there to a noticeable degree. Banning someone from connecting to your wifi is more difficult than you would think, however, for the average user and most employees don't even have access to the wireless controls. If the network isn't monitored in some remote location (As is the case with most sign-in services), usually only the manager has access--and that's only if they're tech savvy.

If you have a place where you have to sign in for a user account (Even if it's free), you can get banned easily. A lot of shops around here have those.

if there is no sign in required then there is no possible way for them to find you unless you create a pattern that at 4pm to 5pm you are their with a laptop and the connection gets slow as hell.
 
I dont think ANY of the employees actually monitor or control the wirless network.
 
If it is public wifi it would be hard to find which person it is. They can ban your MAC address but it would be unlikely.

Are you seriously planning on sitting at mcdonalds for several hours while SB runs?

ya! because my internet provider keeps disconnecting my internet. They keep saying "we have received a report that your computer has viruses. you need to call to reconnect your internet!"
and I am too cheap to buy a vps

Haven't you ever heard of a VPN? Or jacking your neighbors internet?

i have tried jacking, but their internet also got disconnected and they had to call in. i dont know what vpn is, isnt that the same thing as vps?
 
Park outside, connect from your car, run SB and go shopping or get a coffee.

Just out of curiosity. Is the wifi at MacD. stable enough to run SB?
 
Ha, you will quickly burn out all the local coffee shop IPs! And you will have to progressively drink worse and worse coffee at crappier coffee shops until you just get sick of it and buy some proxies of your own.
 
Just get a cheap VPS or a handful of proxies...
