Using Sape Links As Tier 2?

Has anyone thought of this? Sape links are effective but when it comes down to it they are as dangerous as it gets and I have already seen a lot of sites (including a major seo company ranking on positon 3-5 for a heavy keyword) lose some rankings because of sape. My question is, would using sape links are tier 2 work to reduce risk of direct penalization from google?

I think the primary reason why people don't buffer SAPE links is because it's less effective for PA. All the backlinks would go to one url, and any authority would funnel into your main domain. It's pretty much contrary to what the immediate benefit is supposed to be.

Since there would be another domain to "squeeze the juice" through. Long term you'd have to figure out if you can get enough clicks\commission to figure out if it's worth paying monthly for the network.

That's exactly what you were asking originally, I understand, but I don't think anyone can confirm this without bullshitting. It'd heavily rely on what niche you're in, and how well you know your audience.
 
Just buy high quality SAPE links, and point it to your MS. From my experience, you only get penalized if you are point low-quality and super obvious spam SAPE links to your MS, such as ones with high OBL, hidden text, a whole bunch of foreign language sites etc.

If you have a choice, it's always better to self pick them yourself, so you get full control.
 
I would personally have one tier buffer between my money site and the sape links. Depends on the situation actually.
If you're doing a burn and churn and you don't mind getting the domain penalized and going on to the next one, then point to your money site. If you're looking for long term rankings and see the site remaining in your portfolio of sites for months and years to come, then have them point to your tier 1's. Benefit will be less, but you'll have longer term gains.
 
Also in terms of safety if you ever get a webmaster message about unnatural links, you'll know which self owned sites your sape links are pointing to, and you can get rid of those sites so that you're no longer participating in that "link scheme". Like I said though, depends on the point of your money site, long term or short term.

If you want to be on safer side then using them for Tier2 is not a bad idea at all.
 
Noob question. Do sape links have to be indexed or as long as their linking to your tier 1 they'll pass the juice?
 
Some sape links are penalized by google and not de-indexed!
 
I have clients who do both, link juice is slightly diluted through a buffer, but some people like the safety aspect. Dinkish is correct, you need high quality filtered Sape links and you won't have a problem pointing them to your main site
 
Depends how valuable your money site is to you. I would not risk anything to my money site especially with the way Google workd today. Tier 3 links is not a bad idea.

We have clients that do both, we deliver the same quality of links regardless of the tier level

Yes, we do. We have 3 options for users - metrics, based on TF,CF,DA,PA - Relevancy and Combo
For Metrics we do select sites based on TF, CF, DA, PA, we have a min of 15 for each but in fact they are usually much higher. We also cater for specific metrics e.g. DA 40+ or TF/CF < 1.5 - as long as they are reasonable and within budget

I would have to disagree, I constantly monitor a selection of our clients sites and I can tell you the majority have improved significantly and for those that haven't I am more than happy to work with them to sort their issues which are usually content/on-page SEO issues. I will gather some fresh reports later today to show some serp improvements and upload them here
