Using proxy when running enhanceviews and likewise software?

Would it be smart to run a proxy when using enhanceviews and likewise software? Seeing as I use my "good/legit" accounts on my own IP address.

If so, if I just configure proxy settings in my internet browser, will it be set for enhanceviews software automatically? Because there is no proxy setting in the enhanceviews software.

Use a vpn\socks proxy and configure it through windows networking.

If enhanceviews is just a browser add-on, it would likely use the default browser proxy.

Either way, I rather play it safe and use a proxy.
