This may be a stupid question... but I've been wondering about it for a while.

Usually I use proxies for my various programs but today I needed to do something via my browser so I entered it under the internet connection tab. I don't think i did anything wrong.

but when i go to whatsmyipaddress, it still shows my real ip? why is that? the proxies i use are texcola's?

Anybody know why? Thanks!

Are proxies working?
Clearing cache and try
Code:
ipchicken.com
:)

It probably just means the proxy has gone transparent i.e. it's forwarding your IP. Try using a different one.

Any proxy that has X-forwarded-for enabled will pass your IP address on, as cool5now says, most transparent proxies will forward it on.

Squid if not configured correctly will also pass it on and I think by default its set as forwarding on.
