I'm brand new to using private proxies with username (colon) passwords. . . and can't seem to get different software to work and use these proxies, although I have no problems with running the proxies through the browsers. (e.g.- tube automater . . claims proxy authentication required . . .or another program states. . test failed. . something wrong with your internet connection settings).

I feel like there is something basic that I am missing about using private proxies. . .possibly my internet settings options, or something similar. What am I missing. The proxies are great and work perfect in a browser. The softwares I am talking about support private username (colon) password proxies. . and the information is entered into the software correctly. . . any suggestions?

Yes i entered that way. I've got one software up and running. . the other has individual boxes for IP, Port, Username,Password. .. maybe I'll screw around a bit more and see if i can get it to fly. thanks
