using private proxies on iphone5

i want to use my proxies on my iphone, i already know how to get to where i need but once i enter my server/port/authentication then go back to wifi settings it doesnt save anything and im still connected to my home ip...any solutions??

You changed your ip for browsers only. For apps, u need another app (I forgot the name, google it: how to change the proxy on iphone apps)

I am able to connect fine with my iphone6. It should be the same.
