Using pre registered domain

Let's say we want to create a website regarding a health niche.

Rather than registering a new domain, using a dropped domain from expireddomains.net ranks faster than newly created domain?

When comparing old and new domain with 0 backlinks, can we say older domain ranks faster than a new one?

I am not asking using expired domains with backlinks, there are lots of dropped domains with 0 backlinks.

Not worth it in my opinion, unless we are talking about a solid domain.
