Using PPC to Sell SEO Services

I see SEO companies using PPC to generate incoming sales leads to sell their SEO services. I am thinking of using this to offset cold-calling. What kind of a monthly investment are we talking about for the seasoned smooth talking salesman to sell new clients this way.

i thought for sure someone would be getting new SEO clients via PPC, Yes? No? Maybe its a secret? Come on throw me a bone please. need help getting new propects besides cold calling.

About 10 months ago we ran a PPC campaign to check traffic levels for our SEO and Internet Marketing target keywords for 8 weeks. The traffic levels were quite high, but the click through rate was terrible. Reason? No one in their right mind will click on a PPC ad when looking for an SEO company especially if your company is not in the top organic 3!

anyone else? I see SEOP is on top for many adwords campaigns.
