Using Popup Ad with Embedded Video Player

Hey, I want to execute a popup from my video players exactly same as Streamtape and Netu.io does.

I found this wonderful article: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-use-popunder-ads-on-video.839147/ exactly what I need however I have tried this method and it no longer works I wonder if it is outdated or something.

Can somebody who knows how share a way or ways of accomplishing this. I have searched high and low with Google and Duckduckgo with nothing but the Blackhatworld article I shared above.

It must be relatively simple as there is so many websites using this functionality. I would love to use Popads or Popcash codes in the video player

You just need to use an ad network that has popads. If you have a question, just reach out to them directly, they'll be able to help you pretty easily. Is the issue with putting the pop code directly into the video player? Is that what you mean?....
