Using PMs to Sell Your Services

I rarely check my Skype since I usually communicate with forum members and clients through PM and email. I've only received spam once through PM, however, I just checked my Skype right now and saw several spam contact requests and messages from people peddling their services to me or asking me to help them "grow". I actually wouldn't mind the messages if they came from a legitimate service and were relevant to something I posted or something I was currently looking for.

I dont receive any pm's like that, but i got hounded on skype alot, it was a pain in the arse. so i removed my skype id from here.

raheelb I started working on my websites a couple of months ago and I have use one of BTBs services with satisfactory results. Other than that, everyday when I get on BHW I go into his profile and read all of his posts for the day. Trust me dude I have learned a lot from what he has posted on this forum. He is always available on skype to answer any questions that I have, not that I bombard him with noob questions but while staying within a limit I have had him answer any SEO related questions for free. I can personally vouch that he is a man of his word and I'm not sure what methods you are talking about but I have found all of his posts to be very informative.

Don't believe me? check his posts out yourself, don't just take a glance but read them properly. My favorites are his keyword research post and his Journey thread where he is building an authority site from scratch documenting the whole content and SEO procedure openly.

As everybody else has already said this in a polite way, might as well be me to take the infraction for the sake of educating your dumb little ass. My Skype gets violated every day. I have hundreds of people adding me on Skype trying to sell me crap. There is a 0% chance that I will buy anything pitched to me over Skype for the first time. I now don't accept anyone's request unless they include a message describing why they're adding me.

As stated above, sending unsolicited PM's to members is an unwise thing to do.
The member you may be sending a PM to may be the very member who reports
you. If we (the staff) get a report about a member sending unsolicited PM's in
which he is attempting to sell outside of our Marketplace, he/she is likely going
to get an infraction. NOTE: 3 infractions will result in a permanent ban.
