Are there any copyright issues if I use photos from Imgur and embed them onto my blog?
Yes, because you don't know who posted them to imgur and if they had the right to. Chances are you won't have problems, but you could. The photographer is the copyright holder and without his permission you have no legal right to post them on your blog, then again, this is the internet.
If you want to upload a copyrighted content on to your website, you need to go with a off-shore hosting so they will ignore any dmca reports that you get.
You cannot take anything for granted. Most of the time, nothing happens.
I think you will run no problem if you put a credits where you got the image. I have created uncountable of blog posts using images from different sites and had no problem.
I jaywalk a lot, yet have to be fined or hit by a car - ergo it must be a good idea?
Just because shit is not probably going to hit the fan doesn't mean that one should take the chance when there's no need: just search for CC-attributed photos and use those.
Yeap. That's public community only but few copyright on there. Better to use off-hosting..
You need to give credits and put a note in your blog that let people complain if they dont want their images being posted. That protect your site.
