So I'm using other peoples work (ex apps) and I'm wondering about the concequences if they report me for using their stuff. What can possibly happen and is it enough to write down on my site that if they want it offline they should message me?

usually you will get a message from a lawyer threatening legal action first.. thats the warning. I guess you know what comes after that

As a lawyer, I can tell you....if they report you, many bad things can happen. If they don't report you....it's still illegal, but you're living on luck!

So having a blog sharing apps with links to Multiupload and that stuff is not a good idea then?

It depends; what country are you in? What security methods do you have set-up? What is your risk vs. reward tolerance? Are you willing to risk being sued in order to make money?

I live in belgium. Don't know what you mean with security methods, I'm a complete newbie. I'm not paying a single cent, don't wanna get sued.

I've wondered about some similar things which I wanted to ad to blog. I was going to site the sources and write a disclaimer to try and buy some slack if they took action.

try not to use other people's work..it's seriously not worth it if they decide to throw the hammer down on you
