Using music in youtube

Hi gents

Just wondering, whats the deal with using music on your youtube videos? Is it still the same as using video clips on your videos? In terms of copyright? Any way i can bypass copyright claims? I.e changing pitch, speed etc etc

Give credit within Youtube of the video to the person who's track it is and you should be fine. The most that should happen is the music will be muted.

Having a hard time finding something suitable and i have a particular song i like which would fit so well with the video but just not sure in terms of how copyrights work for music in YouTube

To be fair, most of the music i use is from https://filmmusic.io/ but if you want to monitize, give credit, if it gets removed then the video will just be mute. It's happened to only one of my videos.

There are tons of good free copyright bg music. It's free, safe, peace of mind. Why do you want to risk your video by bypassing the copyright?

Create a test channel and upload music on it you want to use on the main channel. That's for testing.

YouTube music is copyright. You can find the music that you want in the legal music library. that's safe.

its a noob question you asked but its okie we all been there.. monetized video should have non copyrighted music only.. giving credits don't work until you manually proving it to the song provider or using evanto element type services to get music .. other than that using copyright music .. straight gonna make your video non-monetize...

Yt itself provides non copyright music library for this reason.
BUT if you use copyrighted music then the monetization will not be possible. You will get take down notice sooner or later.
