With recent government regulations and even more strict ones under consideration. I'm really getting turned off of the concept of having my primary way of spending money only in a national currency. Is there any good guides on how many things I am able to use crypto to buy directly in a crypto currency rather than using an exchange or some sort of payment processor. In the past I've been weary because of the volatility of cryptos compared to most national currencies.

I'm willing to even start to make changes in my life such as limiting random purchases; and of course buying groceries and going to restaurants I will be fine with using a national currency.

Bitrefill, Travala and Purse.io means you can buy practically anything for day to day living with crypto (apart from rent, and utilities).

Also, the more affiliates who ask their AM for payment in crypto the more options will be available in general. I wish I could get paid in $UST and $XMR

There are some places which accept it. Even bitcoin atms are coming at some places.

You can use giftcards. depends. where you are located?
there are countries that more friendly to cryptocurrencies and some strict

You can always keep crypto in stablecoins, which should solve the problem of volatility.

I don't think yet is possible to every day living.
Also depends on country you live on.

All grocery stores will not accept crypto. It is ok to pay in walmart where you buy everything together but not in small store.
