There’s a thread which in my opinion is clearly dodgy. It’s full of one time sign ups saying ‘interested’.

They never post before or again. There’s some form of manipulation going on for reasons I can’t be bothered to think about.

Well I got a notification of the thread today and into the micro worker had even placed the job details. Genius I guess what you get what you pay for. Screenshot below:

So the question why? What’s the marketing thought behind this. Is it just to keep it near the front page, show some kind of social proof?

This is a practice we see every now and then. You're screenshot, however, is not a sufficient proof to accuse a seller for artificially bumping their thread.
Maybe @neverpooragain can shed some light over this.

He can always argue that a competitor is trying to frame him :)

It looks so obvious to us but it can be disputed pretty easily, I think
I guess so just really bizarre thing to do and it’s so obvious the amount of people who ghost in and out of the forum. I don’t really get what the end game is.

Well, we can ask @neverpooragain what he thinks about someone sending traffic from MicroWorkers to his BST.

The thing I find the most interesting is the disproportionate amount of 'Interested' comments, even though you can just click on the BST to get the method without needing to comment at all.

They are Elon musk bot

Something's not quite right here. The link in his BST has an ad as well, that points to another users BST selling backlinks. Maybe he gets paid for referrals and the cheap micro workers are just there to bump the thread so real members can see it, click through and buy. I'm just speculating, I have no idea what is going on here.

This is absolutely ridiculous but it almost always falls to deaf ears.

With less than 4 months and the sales thread is +100 pages long and no alarm bells are ringing.. everything's fine nothing to see.

I pay for advertisements under that section and this goof just spams their day in and out to get better positions.

This is nothing new, unfortunately, those who play by the rules here get cut short most of the time.

All I'm gonna say is that my Jr.VIP ends in exactly 4 days. Yesterday I canceled my subscription. I'm taking a break.
Sure this must be me doing this and it's making me bambilions! In fact - that's why I'm taking a break. To buy my second mansion in Beverly Hills which was paid of course by this BST, and my amazing strategy with Microworkers which is absolutely completely inconspicuous.

If you want to see the mansion it's this one: Zillow link

I'm so sad that I was exposed. One more month like this, and I could have two mansions! Dammit...

Yes, this was sarcasm.

you gotta make bot accounts and cut corners if you want to succeed - isaac newton or someone i dont know

Stop the cap.

How many times have you complained to mods that this happens with your thread?

Because every time I complained, they removed the posts from my BST.. Yours are still there so I have an odd feeling that there have been zero complaints from your end.

Not to mention +100 fake likes that your thread has received and not once did it concern you enough to turn mods with this issue?

You are right about that.

This is the thing I had been talking about from months. who you think is getting benefit from inflating the post count and showing bhw as market full of potential(ofc fake) but for a newbie it looks like hidden treasure but reality is something different under water:

I'm not gonna speculate regarding the forum and the staff, but you are completely right about the bot traffic. This is the case on all sites though, the ratio real/fake traffic is insane everywhere. I don't know your case, and I'm not trying to defend the forum at all, but I think it's a great place to network and learn from like-minded IM'ers.

Can't really blame someone for using black hat methods on a black hat forum, but there should be better moderation for sure. Especially in the marketplace section.
