Hi
When I add an image to an article I am usually getting the image from google's search
is that a good idea or i should edit the images, or should i use completely original images for best SEO
also youtube videos, will adding original videos to youtube be better than embedding someone else's videos?
thanks

and sorry if posted in the wrong section

The more original you are the better IMO, so yeah try to use as much original and unique content as you can get.

It can matter in terms of cease and desist notices! LOL Try doing a search for images in public domain, I can usually get all I want that way -- then they are free and legal to use.

agreed find some public domain images, websites who offer free "stock" photos, or use a bigger company like istock and purchase your own stock photos that way you never have to worry about it

those are who I use as well....I usually check sxc.hu to see if there is anything remotely like what I want....and if not I of course head over to istock as I know it will be there. But thats one complaint i have never really had is the price of the stock because the increase in value is worth it to me

but other people can buy the same istock photos that i buy, what the point then?

it's better to use the original image but if you do not have or don't confident, then you may use the free image. I myself always use the ori one for my business.

to get image from google to use in your site will surely gets you in trouble for copyrights infringement.
