I got a message stating that I got some free credit. How can I use it and is it completely free or I need to spend some money to use it ?

Just insert the code in your adwords account. Sometimes they want you to spend some money before you claim the free credit.

What services can I promote using Adwords. I do not want to set up a website for this .

Well If you dont want you can do a giveaway of it.
Besides It depends on what you really wish to promote no one can answer perfectly what you should promote.

You will have to. You will also have to read their rules carefully (if you value your account). Promoting affiliate offers with adwords is possible but very difficult.
