Using FB promote for local affiliate marketing with success

Hey guys,

I've been trying to figure out a way to promote a local offer for a free teeth whitening for a friend of mine who is a dentist.

So far, we burned through $250 bucks or so with PPC and CPM ads on fb, with little success.

However, we started having local friends use the promote function on FB, and wow leads just poured in. I was so suprised for 7 bucks that it actually had such an impact.

Also, were trying to figure out a more hands off way to promo this, since the fb promo is time consuming to find people to do it. any ideas?

Why not build a Facebook page centered around your friend's practice (or use one that has already been created) and do some kind of promo that integrates interacting with the Facebook page (i.e. liking it, sharing posts, promoting posts, etc) with a more traditional marketing tactic of giving away a free service or product (in this case free or discounted teeth whitening). Once you build up a following on the page, it will be easier to get in front of more people.

You could also take the promo across other social networks. The key is to offer something that would entice people to spread the word about the service. Such as getting free services for sharing content which in turn is shared by more people.

Send the traffic through squeeze, and then follow up. You are marketing wrong. Takes average 7 times before person interacts with your offer.

I can suggest to do SEO on promoting free teeth whitening. There are lots of things to do.

Have you tried services like Socibuzz? Could work if there are local social media guys from your region on it. Just a thought.

Socibuzz, Im worried about the caliber traffic that I will get using an cpa network. I only get paid if these people go in and actually get the teeth whitening.

People are skeptical about filling out the information because they don't think it is real I think. They think "free" teeth whitening and they think its a scam or there is a catch. Which there is not, hence why when friends/locals promote it they feel more trust. The facebook page might work but I think the reach will be harder.
