Using Expired Domains

i hope you guys can help me i have 4 expired domains already doing nothing

i thought i could just redirect them to my site. you read and read that expired domains keep their worth. the ones i have are appapently doing nothing. im sure at one time they were on the first page, in fact i know

what do i do to get them to act as the domains they once were, do i just put some content on it with keywords, then redirect people to my site from that site

how do i get a page 1 probably number 1 position expired domain to do anything for me. can i look up the keywords it ranked for at one time somewhere

to my knowledge redirecting works best when the expired domains match your niche but you keep reading that big G wants to do something against redirecting so my advice would be to just host the sites, put relevant content on them, keep updating them and build some links to your money site.

why would you 301. 301 is sneaky and you want legit not sneaky.

cut down the 301s, restore old urls that have backlinks pointing to them, make some contextual articles (id say do a lot of onpage if domains are good) then link to ur ms

one of the links gumby linked to above was saying redirects are fine, but then it mite hurt you and how are you gonna know, they aint doing me any good

how can i find out what keywords an expired domain ranked for. i tried looking some up but get nothing. i know this site was a hardcore #1 position olsen news site for years, they even had any celebrity news or gossip on it. the owner was gonna let me start a pic forum for it like in 2009
