Hello,
I am planing to write a kindle book.
(Sure it will not be in English. I think you already feel how bad is my English and it will not work)
But some question is confusing me about content of this book.
Is it legit to take content from a public forum? I mean if someone already shared his photos and story on a public forum where even unregistered users has access.
For example, someone wrote his success story about how he recover back from his alcohol problem. He put his photos and story.
So i will take this story and use it in my book and of course i will put a reference where i got this information.(url address of the forum where i got)
i will use nearly a hundred of people's story so book will not be about just one person.
You can understand, it will be very hard to get contact with all these people for permission using and even some content on some forums may even not real or not shared by that person. Just written by someone else.
What do you think?

As long forums are public and even Google can index them you are 100% free to copy information of course don't forget to point your sources at the end of it :)

Yea i think i should i can.
I think public forum is like a public park. So they hanged their photo with their story on a public wall at park, so everyone can read.
But if a journalist takes this photo and story and shares in a journal , This guy will be happy!
But If a writer takes the story and makes money from it , This guy finds the writer and asks for money.
