Been awhile since I've been on here but wanted to put out a FYI and some tips to not get banned.

I've seen several people now lose their accounts to Clickbank's 1% chargeback rule. What does this mean exactly? It basically means if you are making less than $1000 a day (just an example) and you get 1 chargeback, you are now over Clickbank's 1% chargeback minimum.

What happens when my account is over 1% chargeback rate? You get your account suspended and Clickbank will not contact you to tell you why. They leave you in the dark. You have to contact them.

Will I get my Clickbank account back? Not 100% sure, but I'm guessing no.

Will I get my money from Clickbank that I earned. Yes you will get your money but Clickbank pulled a page from Paypal's playbook and will hold your money for 90 days to see if anymore chargeback's come in.

Clickbank claims they are doing this because they have to maintain a certain low percentage of chargebacks to stay in good standing with the credit card companies.

Although this was never a problem before. What I think is Clickbank is weeding out low performing accounts and keeping high rollers that earn over a certain amount. But that's just my opinion.

How can I make money on Clickbank and have a better chance of staying below 1% chargeback? The very best thing to do is promote "Shippable Media" aka physical products. These products have way less refunds and chargeback's. Also, sell a lot more product so if you get a chargeback the percentage will be lower. But 1% chargeback rate there is no room for error at all. You have to either be perfect of sell very high volumes of product to stay under 1%.

If you are wondering if you can make a new account and keep promoting the answer is no but, you can make a new account with the same name and bank account you always use and make sales and Clickbank will still pay you but the account will get suspended within 3-5 days and they will hold that money for 90 days.

So I hope this helps some people. I've been seeing a lot of people getting suspended lately. Is this the big Clickbank purge? Well, I can't answer that.

Key to understand here is that it's for chargeback not refunds.
A purchase is "charged back" when a customer disputes a charge through their bank or credit provider, usually because the customer claims that the purchase was unfunded, unauthorized or fraudulent.

Well its obviously going to hurt clickbanks revenue, so hopefully they don't get too heavy handed.

Yep.... Which is why I never mentioned refunds.

My account had a chargeback rate of 1.7% and was suspended a month ago. I did nowhere near 1K a day in sales. I think my best day was 400 at most. Also, I was wondering if people get less chargeback if they focus 100% on US traffic?

Does it concern affiliates like me?

This is not a new rule. It was always 1% CHB rule one CB (15% for refunds)...

What's your niches ? :D:D

How that possible, to be honest not much people can hit few k above sales?

this is unfair
is not our fault if buyer is fradulent

side note, i do noticed CB now got chat line at below right corner of the site while you log in
last time don't have.

They randomly target or their algo triggers randomly on accounts with chargebacks, since I had a hold and login restriction for only one chargeback and everything else clean until I contacted them and they replied me a when I had almost lost hope on getting back around $700 held there and was given back. Lucky me.

But, they take format account very seriously. Try it. If you leave the account inactive, after making a few sales, log in after a couple of months and you will have a huge balance but don't get excited, there will be a minus prefixed.

There are different things everyone will experience with CB. So, you can't predict, but diversification is the key here. Don't go after only one product, especially when you know you will get chargebacks/refunds, obviously, you should be knowing this if you are working on that particular product.

Try to work on low, very low ticket products, which people will ignore even if they have paid and never bother to get a couple of bucks refunded, which will dilute the issues with high ticket products when the calculation is done in percentage.

Mix it up and be safe.

Since 2008, I have lost 2 dormant accounts and never again any issues.

So, here is what I have been doing since 2012, after losing those 2 accounts.

Now, I have 3 accounts registered in the name of my family members and I rotate when I realize it's getting risky.

Don't follow the above steps blindly. You have to concentrate on several other things to be safe. So, do a bit more research.

Now, it's all good from 2012 with all 3 accounts.

Again, for those who may think if it's legal to have 3 accounts?

Yes, cos it's in different persons' names, attached to a legal bank account of that particular person for direct deposit. It's just like I am having a JV/partnership with them.
