Its best to use brand name as domain only if its yours or it may create a trademark issue

Most probably not, especially if you're talkign about big brands. Better avoid doing it, you don't want a big company to sue you.

I would not use established brand names in my domain name. Chances are sooner or later you'll get into trouble.

I used to have domain containing "ipad". I was not able to sign up for amazon affiliates no to mention adsense (yes, due to copyrights) - but apple never came to my door trying to sue (maybe because traffic was very low). Of course, it is possible to own a domain with trademarked brand, but prepare for not being able to monetize it the easy way!

I wouldn't do it and I suggest you to do the same. An acquaintance of mine used to own domain including a brand in the name, I'd rather not say which one, but he had a trouble when they actually found out about since he was bringing in decent traffic and promote ClickBank products. He needed to hand over the domain name and luckily pay small fines. I assume it can get a lot worse.

As most of the guys mentioned above i too advise you the same that not to use brand name as your domain name.

Pros :
Your domain name will be easy to remain for users as much as the brand name that you use.
Crons:
It will be the worst if you are spotted by the company as it will be a trademark issue.

I have soem domains with TM in name. I have registered domains by tool so - expired domains - so can't check manually all of them. I have two requests from big companies to give them domains with TM - they send papers with their lawyers. To have good sleep I have give them requested domains - good to me that they doesnt need any compensation but only want to stop using their names in domain
