    Hi there,

I have a client who has come to me to get backlinks removed on their website as they've received a penalty from Google. We've so far removed about 130 backlinks of 500 and we're finding it very time consuming.

I've got an excel file that contains a list of all the websites they have backlinks from, along with the usernames and passwords that were used to sign up to the websites where they got the backlinks. Obviously all the sites will be on different forums but quite a large chunk of them will either be VBulletin, SMF, PHPBB or similar forums. I wanted to see if I could use Automator for Mac to automate going to the site, finding the login forum, using the username and password from the excel sheet, logging in and removing the second in the folder. I realise I may have to do 6 or 7 variations, but just wondered if anyone would be able to help or if anyone knows of any software that will automate the removal of backlinks if you have the username and passwords?

It will need some kind of fallback (for example, if it can't find a login form, or if the account is disabled, or if it's incorrect) but apart from that, it just needs to look for a snippet of text and delete it once it's logged into the correct page?

    Any help would be great!!

    Cheers,
    Lewis
