    Hi there guys, I have a few extra computers i've got hold of, they are all quite good spec, Pentium 4 - Dell inspiron 3100C & Fujitsu Scaleo - either way they're pretty good desktop PCs.

    Please list ideas for these? I could run each as a server perhaps? Or run automation tools from them? Please list your ideas (I may be able to get more, and I will be keeping the best ones or selling them on ebay)

    I've looked at synergy to run the best PC on a different OS as one whole unit?

    Then maybe the other automating something?

    Please list ideas.

    Thanks

    Well, for me, I would rather sell them all and grab a much more powerful and solid desktop instead. Then install VMware, run all those automated tools or whatever you want on the virtual machines.

    I find it much more comfortable than having so many machines all over the place (keyboard, mouse, cables etc.)

    I just bought a super el-cheapo baby Acer for $110 and added a $15 router.

    I'm planning on devoting it to things like:

    1) running imacros to build alexa hits;

    2) imacro auto-account creation;

    3) auto backlink and similar software.

    Remember that for almost all blackhat work you don't need lots of processing power; an old IBM PC would work almost as well.

    My PC took 20 minutes to pre process a 80mb linkslist... now that doesn't seem very attractive... I guess it all depends on what kind of tasks you're giving to these PCs.

    You can also run tr**fic **change programs, and s*ll the tr**fic.

    I have 2 pcs, one of which is a scaleo p, and i've had great performance. It's handy to have one super fast new comupter for 64 bit stuff, and an older stripped down PC on XP performance edition to deal with older programs. What makes it all work so well is that I have mysteriously gained access to my neighbour's internet connection (wonder how that happened :) ) so I can run automation and work at the same time with no slowdown.

    strip down the second machine w/ nothing but your seo software, then just do remote desktop from your main machine and you can do everything from your main machine.

    that should give you your mad scientist fix.
