Using AI tools for PPC - worth it or hype?

Yeah, I’ve tried a few, AI tools can save time and help with testing but they still need a human touch to really perform well.

I’ve been using a mix of AI tools for copy and bid management across a few campaigns, and they’re definitely helpful for speeding things up and testing ideas quicker. That said, they’re not plug-and-play—results really improve when you still apply your own strategy, tweak the messaging, and monitor performance closely. AI’s great for support, not full automation (yet).

AI ad copy and bid managers are trending, but do they really improve PPC results?

I’ve tested a bunch of AI tools in real PPC campaigns, and while some deliver solid value—like faster ad variations, smart keyword suggestions, or automating routine bid adjustments—you still need to guide them. If your offer, funnel, or audience targeting isn’t dialed in, AI won’t fix it. So yeah, worth using, but not a magic bullet on its own.

Totally get that. Are you using Google’s own tools or third-party ones?

Well said. It’s good support, but you still need someone steering the ship.
Exactly my experience too. The moment you go fully hands-off, performance tanks.

For managing how you spend your budget across different placements, it can react much faster than manual adjustments. This can lead to more effective spending.

It’s great for handling quick tasks, but it won’t replace genuine strategy or campaign know-how.
