Using AI Content to beef up pages or too risky?

I just started building a site about 2 months ago. It is a site where each page has a very specific function that I create with custom code. But below that section on every page is a large amount of content that is all AI generated since I wanted to have some text content on the page instead of just my custom word-limited function.

Is this going to be doing more harm than good?

I am considering just deleting all of the AI content and slowly going back page by page adding just a little bit of content written by me.

I guess I am asking what is worse: no text content on a page or ai content on a page?

There's definitely pro and cons of using AI content on a page.
 
As a temporary measure can help fill pages, but it typically lacks originality and deep insights. In today's realities, you need to combine native and AI.
 
Right now AI content too risky for a website. I told you to my previous experienced.
 
Text does not affect your ranking but bad content can make it even worse. Google likes helpful interesting content made for people. Instead of just getting rid of the AI stuff work on making your own top notch unique text even if it takes time. A couple of good paragraphs are way better than multiple boring AI text. This helps search engines trust you more in the end.

you can now completely generate websites with several hundred pages.

What's the purpose of your site? As in, why are visitors coming to these pages?

If you're looking to rank for keywords, content helps, AI or not. Just ensure that these aren't low quality AI blocks of content. Edit the content so that it doesn't read the way AI content does.
 
Does your "Very specific function" is suffice for users, do they feel need to scroll down and read further.
If not then i would rather add only few lines hand written and related "function" to reduce bounce rates and increase engagement. Since the major updates i have seen time to time many pages with very thin content ranking, only because they are satisfying users with some tool or service

Most users will come to the site and use the function then leave, some will read on if needed but most will not need to. I will focus on that over building up the content on the page with AI for now I guess.
 
as long as you do not drop the quality is ok, just make sure to not copy and paste or use generics prompts
 
I don't think it's risky if your page content is human written and just the summary is AI content
 
Is this a long term project you want to milk for years ? Then say goodbye to all the AI content on the site.
 
long form content is no longer a ranking factor,
as long as you have enough text including the keyword(s) once or twice you're good to go,
150-200 words is enough in your example and using AI you'll actually get more helpful & user-friendly and less spammy content with that,
you can add more as long as the content serves a purpose, nothing wrong with that,

& AI content is undetectable by search engines, that's just one of the other many myths
