Hello my mates :D

I downloaded here on BHW the "ADFLY CODE", an Ebook about using Adfly as Advertiser.

Well, while advertising on Adfly isn't great and magical as the Ebook says, I am being able to get some action on my adverts, see my stats:

1) Bought 2k US visitors (8$)
2) Got 114 clicks on my Landing Page (5.7% CTR in my first try, without optimizing anything)
3) Got just 1 conversion in my Download Offer (0.88% conversion rate), bringing me 1.1$...

(observation: I was promoting a "FREE UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS" software)

Of course I'm on a loss, but what I see is: I was able to draw attention of 5.7% of the visitors with a cheap animation (took me 5 mins to create the whole Landing Page). I think I'm easily able to raise this CTR to near 8% if I test a lot. But blaargh, the conversion rate really sucked.

But well, Adfly is one of the 150 biggests sites on the internet...I'm really sure their traffic NEED GIVE $$ or no one would advertise on it in bulk ways and the program would need to shut down.

Any ideas? Experiences?

hi Luizbia - Remeber just because someone to claims to of made 1,000 per day with
so method don't mean that it's ture and if it is true don't mean you will.
the question is that is someone was making that sort of money why sell the
method because I woulden't.

anyway the secret is that you have to put your own spin on the method.

yes yes, I know the ebook owner wasn't making 12836128976&$$$$ daily ^^

But what I mean is:

1) Adfly is a big website. REALLY BIG. A lot of big guys NEED to make money with their traffic, or they won't have any $ to pay the publishers.
2) I was able to bring action to my Landing Page. I need now to convert the traffic into downloads.

I was thinking about using Direct Download links (the user clicks my landing page and is directed to the download .exe), but just 1 company offer this kind of offer...

I've did the same with a remaning budget of 4$ and so far got 41 clicks towards my offer and no conversions yet..Stil got some $ left, so I may get some cash.

PM me..
I will give you some hints and stuff that has worked for me.

Don't trust Alexa, adfly is not in the 150 biggest site on the internet.

For example BHW's alexa is 524 but uniques a day is 40,000. So, don't trust alexa.

I know they are NOT perfect, but they're OK to have an idea of a website size.
I don't know if they're really the biggest 150 site nowadays, but they're REALLY big and have lots of traffic...too much traffic to be paid to the publishers just with 'newbie advertise money'...I'm sure that they need some BIG advertisers earning high $$ to finance the whole system.

yeap i have got your point you r saying that adfly must do something so that user can make money efficiently from them unless user will leave adfly...

I'm getting 10% ctr with my lp easily, but I can't find a converting offer :(

Why dont you try different offers ?

Like gift cards offer free stuff offers

They would work better

eiulii, that's not necessarily true. One of the lessons I've learned (the hard way) over many years of IM'ing is that many of the biggest spending and most successful paid advertisers out there are actually losing money on their PPC and ad buys.

BUT, they're willing to lose money on the PPC and ad buys because they have a solid back-end system in place where they know they can recover their losses and turn a profit.

It's the same idea as CPA merchants who are willing to pay you or me $25 to give away a free trial offer to consumers. They know that once they have that consumer in their funnel, they'll make their money back plus much more.

The same is true with PPC and ad buys if you have a solid back-end system setup. You can afford to lose money on the initial traffic if you can convert it later on for good profits.

So, don't assume that because someone is paying to advertiise that they've found a way to monetize that initial traffic. They may be taking a loss up front to get leads which they can target later.

And specifically with something like AdFly, where the people who are goinng to see your aad are nowhere near being in buying mode, I'd never send that kind of traffic to a sales offer. Instead, send it to a squeeze page that gives them something for free in exchange for their contact info. You may lose the money you spent at AdFly up front, but you'll build a list of people interested in a specific thing which you can then market to forever.

Hey scb335, useful info there. So if i am correct, you mean that adfly is better to be used for building an email list and for free download offers but not for high-end product sales right?

Ofcourse, everything differs on testing. I am actually going to have a try on this soon. Just thinking about the offers to promote. Have a few free download offers but little afraid to experiment :).

Maybe an aweber list with a Landing Page promoting something in the niche, like "Earning money at home" or "Free XXXXX"??

THANK YOU luizeba!! I have been thinking and planning something liek this using ******, but i was always like, "hmmm i bet the CTR would be 1% tops!"

you've now shown me even with basic attempts it can convert. I always always going to use a squeeze page. I will be testing this out soon (after I finish my uni deadline.... )... hope it works!

You said that you're going to use adfly to build a email list? Im thinking on trying it this week, too :D

I had sucess with two campaign in ******, but it wasant USA. I tested USA traffic and it dont convert =/

I wont say the country that i had success, but i was able to inves 5 dollars and make 250 =), for a .50 per conversion campaign.

Sad but i couldnt replicate it, and the same offer dont make money anymore =/

You got 500 conversions with 5$ traffic? O.o
Can you just say if it was a Tier1 or Tier2/3 country?

Everybody has their own take on these things, and as someone else pointed out they were able to turn $5 into $250 with a sales offer using AdFly traffic once, though it sounds like they were probably advertising a basic email or zip submit CPA offer.

That's great, but it means they were able to get 500 conversions for just $5, but once the $5 was gone they had nothing but their profits.

Imagine if instead of sending them to an initial CPA offer where someone else got their email addresses, that person had used their own email list signup form and turned that $5 into a list of 500 people they could hit over and over.

Then send them to multiple CPA offers, affiliate product offers, your own product offers... that list might have been worth thousands of dollars over several months.

That's how I look at it. Just be smart about it, think about who the type of people are that are using AdFly links, then create a landing page and offer that you believe will appeal to them and give it a go. The traffic is so cheap that even with low opt-in rates you can still buy in bulk and do some major split testing and tweaking.

It's also a good way to perfect your landing page and offer before taking it to higher cost PPC networks without spending a fortune, and you'll be building your list as you improve your offer too.

I warned Luizeba about this.

The traffic has no discernible pattern.
