Hi, I am using a VPN and using my personal IG account on my phone. My question is will I run into issues using a VPN? If someone spammed or botted using an IP which I am currently connected to via the VPN and I use instagram without any botting or spamming could I result in a ban? Should I use a dedicated IP rather than standard VPN IP?

yeah sure. Same ip address will be ban your account. Use paid VPN service.

you'd need a paid vpn or dedicated private proxy for sure, but be prepared when switching from the ip you're using to another ip which will be the vpn ip or the proxy, you'll be asked to reset your instagram password via phone, but i guess if it's your real and only account, that won't really be a problem

Have not had this issue with VPN, have used it over several months switching IP's no ask for P-word resets. But I would rather not result in a ban due to someone else's error.

Are you using a popular vpn such as HMA? Because I would be worried of getting my account banned due to the large amount of people using HMA on a daily basis. But I have yet to see someone getting their IG account banned because of using HMA's IPs.

VPN's that aren't really known to the public have worked wonders for me.

I'm using pure VPN but I also have access to a less popular one. have used it since November last year no issues, though can't helped but wonder.. Have yet to hear about an IG account being banned due to VPN use myself. Curious if anyone here could add to this.

if you use paid services, it's highly unlikely that you will get banned just because the sheer fact that you're using a VPN, on the other hand with free VPN services there's always a possibility, because those ips are abused to hell most of the time, just stick to the one(s) which work(s) for you, if you weren't banned throughout the months you were using a VPN service, you won't get banned in the future either, but all boils down basically to the following things:
is your VPN ip shared or dedicated? if dedicated and you're using it since months w/o any problem, that's good, if shared that still can be good, the question in that case: who you are sharing the ip with and what do they use it for?

on the other hand i think a dedicated private proxy is a better choice and is enough, there's absolutely no need to encrypt your whole connection via a VPN when using instagram

answering to your question in short: if you're using a blacklisted VPN ip, you can get banned, but the ban is instant, if you're using a VPN since months w/o any problem, you're good
