    Hi All,

I was thinking about registering a new domain for a website about a popular subject. We all know you can go to Youtube.com via youtu.be and they use it as a shortening service for Twitter.

But will it have any value for my domain SEO wise if I would register a domain, let's say blackhatwor.ld (example) to rank on the word blackhat world?

    Thanks for your insights.

Short answer is no. There were many threads on this. The search engines don't combine the Tld and the domain name. It sounds nice, I agree but it will only help if you are already a brand.

I thought you could only get sites like these with a dot in them if you were a brand?
