Using a remote server?

I have a remote server or VPS on kemotera. I can't find any software to use my remote server. Microsoft remote desktop is used for it. but it's not working for me. Any Suggestions!

Make sure remote access is enabled for other computers under remote settings.
VPS has windows right ?

if your talking about linux then you have to use VNC.
