I have a couple of guitar websites and teach too. I made myself a PSD to help in making diagrams for chords.
What would be a good way to use it to get backlinks?
Doesn't look like normal software directories allow PSDs or Tiffs.
Thanks for your help

edit: sorry, i read that incorrectly, i though you said pdf.

How about printing it to pdf, with an anchor text link in the footer, and submit to scribd.com?

Also, create a youtube video on HOW to use your psd to make diagrams for chords, and submit to video directories.

Thanks very much Nik, the videos a great idea. I dont think it will work as a pdf though as it needs the layers to work properly.
Time to find camtasia methinks!
Thankyou again.

can you not do it in flash? a lot of people dont have photoshop

plus you can embed your links in flash too... not forgetting you can add sound too! :)

Thanks, I'll look into Flash and see what I can come up with, it needs to be printable though.

you can use pages where you placed links to psd downloads as a honey pot for attracting backlinks.
you can use psd to try to get type-in traffic - just add new layer and type there something like "bla-bla-bla good site that will solve all your problems - www.yoursite.com"

Thanks very much for that, I'll give that a go too.
Having the download on my site is the way I'll go to start with and then look at ways of spreading it around from then.
:)
