Using a personal cellphone as a proxy?

So I’ve been having issues finding trustworthy static proxies, plus ive heard using proxidize risks some leaks with Linux.

Got me thinking, what if I just buy an old android and plug a simcard in, then link that phone to my computer for the internet?

Now there’s no Linux leak with proxidize and you have a 4g proxy you can fully trust and reset whenever (resetting the phone).

Has anyone done this before?

Of course; and those who did it really *well* , they started to sell their service of building 4g proxies.

Some issues you will face
- USB/WiFI tethering may not work on some Carriers/Data plans, so you will have to either root the phone in order to fix TTL or find/develop an app that acts as a proxy app.
- Dealing with random networks on modern Androids - your server side software has to dynamically detect each time the new network in tethering e.g. one time it is 192.168.23.0 then after phone reboot it is 192.168.123.0.
- battery life issues

Linux leaks, as in while you're on the proxy using a dongle (like w/ Proxidize for example), the mobile browser gets detected as "Linux" since the underlying dongle is using linux.

In regards to the issues, only the tethering seems to be an issue. I'd imagine this is 10x easier to solve on Android, and as long as the final proxy works with MultiLogin + properly shows google "this is an android phone" then we should be good.

Do you refer to TCP/IP fingerprint with "Linux leaks"? If you do, then it's completely normal, even Windows machines behind a router show up as Linux. Also, original Android also would be identified as Linux.
And even if they were identified somehow incorrectly, none of the existing antibots (including Google's one, which is the laxest of them all) care about the TCP/IP fingerprint.
 
I won't call that a proxy as it's only you that can use it

So you just confirmed that proxies are unrelated to the pixelscan result. You need an antidetect that can spoof Android. I have no idea if they exist

Yes, correct. I guess the issue is then "Proxidize" since I'm inserting the SIMCARD into the proxidize dongles to create the proxy.

Sounds like I need to figure out how to create a proxy directly from an android phone with a simcard via dongle.

It is because somewhere in the path from browser down to the website, something modifies TCP fingerprint. It can be:

- dongle (if it is a custom dongle that has some kind of TCP spoofing, but hardly)
- 4G carrier (YES they are known for installing transparent proxies on Linux, for filtering)

Look, in my software I spoof TCP on the Linux server with proxies and in 99% cases it is detected as the target OS of spoofing. Works well on all USB dongles.

It is not normal. TCP stack in most cases is not modified down the path, see exception I mentioned above ^.

I believe this is where my leak comes from, my dongle using Proxidize. Since I doubt it's coming from MultiLogin (if that even makes sense).

What software were you referring to about spoofing? You seem very knowledgeable, any guides you recommend? I'm trying to utilize these proxies for Google Business logins since finding a static residential proxy has been pretty much impossible and each google business entity is worth thousands if verified, so don't want to risk it with shitty proxies.

As I said, OS TCP spoofing may come from different sources, each has its own likelihood.

There is no open source software nor guides for OS spoofing. try osfooler-ng but it is outdated and can't spoof modern OS's. Proxy builders develop own spoofers and don't share them.

I think I'm going to stop attempting to spoof or use proxidize since it's a constant battle with spoofing.

If I stick with connecting a real phone to desktop, even though the TCP profiles won't match, it seems like a semi normal setup that I'm sure millions of people use (desktop + real mobile phone as proxy). Compared to having a random dongle show up as linux, which seems like a major red flag.

Do you have any recommendations on the best phone + software to use for said mobile proxy?
