Using a domain name with a hyphen? Good or Bad?

Hi guys,
I have that domain name with two important words in my niche and which contains a hyphen in it (like: domain-name.com)
I don't know if it is a good idea to build and maintain a website with this domain name on a long term basis.
What do you day guys?

One hyphen should be fine, especially if keywords are good.

with or whthout a hyphen , what do you think? is it only a difference of look?
domainname.com vs domain-name.com?

It's neither good or bad, but it does look kind of bad, at least to people of first world countries. Why don't you try including a third short word into it (bestkeywordkeyword, officialkeywordkeyword, etc.).

If it is a SEO driven website, it's fine. However if you plan to have a bit of a reputation, it's not the way to go in my opinion. Confusing, hard to type and remember. How many reputable websites out there have separated words? none. cero.

It depends on your usage. In my personal experience and opinion, for branding purposes, it's not a good idea to have a hyphen on the domain name. You'd go by, hey, head over to mydomain.com for more info, which sounds better and less of a hassle, rather than, hey, head over to my-(hyphen)domain.com for more info. Furthermore, with so many mobile users online, do you know that some of the keyboard on the smartphones has very inaccessible hyphen key on the keyboard that makes it difficult to key in the hyphen?
Otherwise, if it is just for SEO purposes - an EMD domain, then the hyphen doesn't matter.

In terms of ranking, it does not make any difference. but if you want to build a brand, dont keep more than one hyphen as people might mistype it. Otherwise hyphen in domain does not disturb your seo

Will be worth having domain name without hyphen. Look for another words if u can in the domain that can give u domain name without hyphen.

I'd prefer without a hyphen but if it's a good domain then a single hyphen won't do bad and you're good to use it, especially for SEO purposes. For branding, it doesn't look that good.
